Jumpstart Session: Kickstart your journey with Heidi’s guidance. We’ll orient to your nervous system patterns, establish a baseline, and clarify intentions for your program.

SSP and/or RRP: Body-based, science-backed, musically-delivered interventions administered via app and carefully titrated and supported by Heidi. We’ll choose the protocol(s) that best meet what your nervous system needs, and adjust pacing along the way.

How long before I can expect to see changes in my nervous system?


Results vary for everyone based on personal history and level of participation. Some people notice small shifts in awareness or sensation within the first few sessions/weeks, while for others, changes unfold more gradually and incrementally over a few months. The length of the program is designed for steady progress that isn't rushed, and pacing that allows for integration, both of which are vital to fundamental change.

What is the Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP)?

The Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) is a non-invasive, science-backed listening program that resets and restores your nervous system's capacity and function through technologically-filtered music. Originally developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, SSP gently and directly affects your vagus nerve so that it can effectively respond rather than automatically going into survival states. SSP has been found to reduce anxiety, improve focus, and build resilience, and has been written up in scientific journals, including the Harvard Review of Psychiatry.

Do I have to do the Safe & Sound Protocol

If you want to work with me but don't want the SSP, simply choose the "basic" option at checkout. Everything will remain the same, but you won't receive access to SSP.

I didn’t grow up in a religious or cult-y setting, but I can relate to many of the signs you list. Would this program work for me?

Absolutely! This program is for anyone who feels they’re stuck in patterns of fear, anxiety, or tension, regardless of their background. I’m a nervous system coach who helps people who have left high-control systems, relationships, or religions feel free and safe in their bodies again.

I grew up as a missionary kid, terrified of hell. Years after no longer believing in hell, I realized my body was still stuck in its hyper-vigilant, people-pleasing, rule-following state.

Now I know this: Understanding why you’re stressed—or even removing the stressor—won’t set you free. Freedom comes when your body and nervous system no longer has to brace against threat, and you feel safe to exhale and be yourself.

I’ve spent the last twenty years helping people reconnect with their bodies through trauma-informed bodywork, and science-backed and body-based nervous system coaching.

Today, when I’m not working with clients or pitching my book, "Home(sick): How My Body Saved My Mind (a memoir about losing faith and finding home), I’m probably putzing around in my garden or picking garden dirt or sourdough out from under my nails while I watch my comfort show, Masterchef Australia.

(No, I don't live in Australia. I just love the Australian version of the show where the judges don't throw food or swear at contestants, everyone wears matching Blundstones and speaks in that cute accent).
